Hi, I’m Chuck Burns and welcome to my website. I started Links-to-Me dot com in an attempt to make the process of getting links a little easier and a little faster. The purpose being to get a few quality links to my websites. I don’t believe in linking with thousands of sites, that defeats the real purpose of a link, and I believe in the concept of relevant linking to quality content. The result to getting quality links to my websites is that some of you will get some good links too so this will be a “win-win” result for all.

The idea is to build a list of websites on Link-to-Me.com that desire quality links and make that list available to all. You can browse the listed sites to select the ones that fit your theme. Then link to those sites and request a reciprocal link in return.

By putting your site name on the list others will link to you. Some links will be reciprocal and some will be one-way links. This is a little more natural scenario and if you maintain the link content relevancy to your site theme then whether a link is reciprocal or one-way will not be so critical. Eventually, the links to you will increase and will provide some benefit to your visitors and to your SEO efforts as well.

Google set itself up as the “Big Brother” of the Internet. Google decides what constitutes a “good search experience” and imposes rules to help insure the “good search experience”. Unfortunately, Google doesn’t always follow its own rules but that is another story.

“Content is king” The good search experience is about quality content that answers a searchers inquiry. Google uses the term “relevant” in reference to linking. Link to sites with relevant content says Google. I believe the purpose of relevant links is to expand the availability of “quality content” to the searcher. A visitor to my website has access to my content and also has easy access to the content on the sites to which I link. If my website theme is Volkswagens then where is the relevancy of linking to a site about webcam chats? There is none and in that case Google scores the link and the intention I believe, accordingly. In those cases where Google Spider detects linking for the sole purpose of SEO without the intent to enhance the search experience, then Google will send that site to the back of the line or maybe even ignore it all together by putting it in the notorious “sand box”.

I don’t believe that links should be used as a sign of popularity and I also don’t believe in lots of links. If the link is to enhance the search experience then there are is practical number of links that a searcher can reasonably browse in order to get to the relevant quality content on the linking site.
